The Odd Bird Planet line of whimsical art rubber stamps was launched by Johanna Hatlestad in June 2006, under the name justjohanna. The stamp line was marketed and sold locally in the San Diego, California, area.

As wider demand for the product grew in the months following the launch, we made the decision to open an online store. The online store was launched in November 2006 and serves both retail and wholesale customers worldwide.

In June 2007, a distributor relationship was established with Lime Tart, covering Australia and New Zealand. In January 2008, we formed a distributor relationship with Emilia Hsu, covering Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and Singapore. And, in February 2008, we formed a distributor relationship with Ciao Carina, covering Japan.

In conjunction with World Cardmaking Day in September 2007, we launched the justjohanna message board and gallery.

Also in 2007, we began collaborating with artist Kelly Vivanco, adding her illustrations to the line.

In late 2008, we incorporated, and justjohanna became part of Hatlestad Enterprises, Inc.

In March 2008, we opened a boutique in Studio 9 in Distinction Art Gallery in downtown Escondido, California.

In April 2008, we began collaborating with artist NC Winters, adding his illustrations to the line.

In June 2008, justjohanna was rebranded justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet to better fit with the vision for future growth and line expansion.

In July 2008, we launched a 7 month partnership co-promoting Lime Tart kits.

In August 2008, we closed our boutique.
