Vintage Papers 

Nancy is in her 2nd term with the justjohanna design team. She is a mixed media collage artist, who (lucky for us) also enjoys rubber stamping. Nancy also maintains a blog, Vintage Papers. You can read more about Nancy (and the rest of the design team members) here.

jj: If you were given a 50% of coupon to your favorite art supply/craft store, what would you use it on and why? (No fine print on the coupon!! It can be good for any one item!!)

Nancy: There is always something I need or want at the craft store. I have a paper fetish, so most likely I would grab some yummy pattern paper.

jj: Do any of the justjohanna stamps speak to you more than others?

Nancy: It is difficult to pick a favorite - but I find myself using Michelle's Large Scroll over and over again. I love the romantic feel of it - so perfect for heritage work, collage, and card making. Priscilla the cat is my favorite critter. She is just too darn cute! 

jj: Describe your last "ah-ha" art moment.

Nancy: It has yet to be published (and will be featured in an upcoming issue of Somerset Memories magazine), but let me just say it involved putting groceries away in my kitchen one day - and realizing what wonderful containers were in my cabinets - perfect for altering... 

jj: What's your best advice for a new stamper?

Nancy: I still consider myself a "new" stamper, but thank Johanna for getting me addicted to Versafine ink. I love it - use it all the time, too! 

jj: Name a famous person from art history you would like to sit down and have lunch with. Tell us what you would eat and why you picked this person.

Nancy: In 1994, my children's great grandmother took us to the Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, when we were visiting over Thanksgiving. I was then introduced to the art work of N.C. Wyeth. The whole Wyeth family is extremely talented. Emotionally, I can feel what is going on in his art work and maybe that is why I lean towards loving the work so much. As for lunch with N.C. - I would definitely take him to my favorite Chinese restaurant - General Tso's, crab rangoons, Moo Goo Gai Pan would just be a few of the dishes we would feast on. YUM!
